In December 2017 we carried out a very special decontamination at one of our customers.
In the course of a fire-fighting operation, tank surfaces were preventively wetted with high quantities of PFC-containing foam concentrate.
The PFC-containing foaming agent contaminated the entire tank and resulted in rainwater being highly contaminated with PFC and having to be disposed of separately.
In the course of our performance, we carried out a special procedure to decontaminate concrete surfaces and were able to sustainably reduce the initial values verified in the laboratory from 2000 micrograms per liter to 10 micrograms per liter. We rate this result as a relevant success of our process application.
